Modern Deco Art Inspired by New Zealand’s South Island
Based in Timaru, New Zealand, CemeloDesign is a creative collaboration between husband and wife team, Tania and Carlos Melo Barreto. Together, they produce unique, modern deco artwork inspired by the breathtaking landscapes of the South Island—especially the high country and ski fields.
Art with a Sense of Place

Meet the Makers
Carlos holds a Bachelor of Arts in 3D Design and is a skilled woodworker. On weekends, he pours his passion into handcrafted wooden pieces that combine functionality with rustic charm.
Tania has a Diploma in Graphic Arts, majoring in Illustration. Her love for visual storytelling and photographic editing led to the creation of the SKI@NZ range—designed for snow enthusiasts and travellers alike.
